Bridging Classrooms, Transforming Futures: Brazil–U.S. Collaboration for Innovative Education
The 2026 Teacher Education Summit (TES) is a two-day hybrid professional development event designed to bring together English language teachers, education students, teacher educators, researchers, school leaders, and education professionals from Brazil and beyond.
Under the theme “Bridging Classrooms, Transforming Futures: Brazil–U.S. Collaboration for Innovative Education,” TES 2026 creates a dynamic space for professional learning, dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of innovative practices in English Language Teaching (ELT) and teacher education.
This year's Summit is organized by ASSEBEPI and Bridge Piauí, in partnership with the Colorado Chapter of Partners of the Americas, strengthening connections between educators in Brazil and the United States and promoting international collaboration, professional exchange, and shared learning.
Through keynote presentations, roundtables, interactive workshops, and collaborative sessions, participants will explore current issues and practical approaches related to communicative language teaching, culturally responsive education, global citizenship, innovative assessment, project-based learning, technology integration, and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.
TES 2026 is more than a professional development event. It is a space where people, ideas, and cultures connect to build brighter futures through education.

Day 2 – In Person: Friday, November 27, 2026 | 8:30–17:25 BRT
In-Person Venue: Centro Cultural de Línguas Padre Raimundo José (CCL), Teresina, Piauí, Brazil
Cost: Free, but registration is required.

Registration is free, but required for participation and certificate issuance.

Part of Innovation and Collaboration for Public School Teachers in Brazil—one of only 19 projects worldwide selected in the most competitive cycle yet of the 2025 Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund (CDAF), funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented in partnership with Global Ties U.S.—TES will feature an inspiring mix of presenters from diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
Participants will engage in practical, interactive sessions designed to strengthen ELT while building a connected, supportive professional community.

Days 2 & 3 – In-Person: Thursday, September 25 (8:30–18:00) & Friday, September 26 (8:30–17:00)

Online Day – September 24: Free, unlimited capacity
In-Person Days – September 25 & 26: Free limited to 220 participants (light breakfast + morning & afternoon coffee breaks included)

In-Person (September 25–26) – Join us at CCL in Teresina for two full days of workshops, panels, plenaries, and networking.
Language — All sessions will be conducted in English.
Certificates — Digital certificates will be provided for online attendees (6 hours for Day 1); in-person attendees will receive both a digital and physical certificate (7 hours per day for Days 2 & 3).
Cost — Free, but registration is required for both formats.
